For Microsoft Windows
95 follow the steps below in installing and configuring your dialup
connection to Web56.net:
For added
convenience, Web56.Net has added automatic
installation and configuration files for you to enjoy our website.
- Check to see if dialup
networking is installed.
- Installing dialup
networking.
- Configuring dialup
networking for use with Web56.net.
1. Check to see if dialup networking is
installed
You may already have dialup networking installed. To check, perform
the following steps:
- Double-click on My computer

- Double-click on Control Panel

- Double-click on Add/Remove Programs

- You will see the Add/Remove Programs
Properties screen.
Click on the Windows Setup tab.

- You will see the Windows Setup tab
for the Add/Remove Programs Properties screen. As shown below,
select Communications from the list of options, then click the Details
button.

- You will see the Communications
screen. Look at the Dialup Networking component. If it is
checked, dialup networking has already been installed and you don't
need to proceed with the steps listed below (Back to
Top). If not, click Cancel.

- You will see the Add/Remove Programs Properties screen. Click
Cancel and follow the steps outlined below.

2.
Installing Dialup Networking
In order to Install Dialup Networking, perform the following steps:
- Double-click on My computer

- Double-click on Control Panel

- Double-click on Add/Remove Programs

- You will see the Add/Remove Programs
Properties screen.
Click on the Windows Setup tab.

- You will see the Windows Setup tab
of the Add/Remove Programs Properties screen. As shown below,
select Communications from the list of options, then click the Details
button.

- You will see the Communications
screen. Select the Dialup Networking component. Click OK

- You will be back at the Add/Remove
Programs Properties screen. Click OK.
- Depending on whether or not Windows 95 can
find your source media, you may see a prompt similar to the one below.
If so, make sure your source media is in the CD or Floppy drive and
enter the appropriate directory in the Copy Files From field.
Click OK

- Once windows locates the source files, you
will see a screen indicating that files are being copied.

- After the files have been installed, you
will see the Dialup Networking Setup screen. Click OK.
At this point, you should restart your computer and perform the steps
in the Check to see if dialup networking is installed
section of this document.


3.
Configuring dialup networking for use with Web56.net.
Once you are sure that Dialup Networking has been
installed, perform the following steps to configure the program to dial
into Web56.Net:
- Double-click on My Computer

- Double-click on Dialup Networking

- Double-click on Make New Connection

- The Make New Connection window
appears.

- In the Type a name for the computer you
are dialing box, type the desired name. For example, Web56.net.
- Make sure your modem appears in the Select
a modem box.
- If it does not, click the down arrow
to the right of the box. Select your modem from the list that
appears.
- Click Next
- The following window appears

- Make sure the area code is 305 for Dade
or 954 for Broward.
- In the Telephone Number box, enter 7797000
for Dade or 233-7250 for Broward (or any other
number you wish to dial with your modem).
- Click Next.
- The following window will appear

- Click Finish. Dialup Networking has now been configured to
dial into Web56.Net.
